Dr Bell did my right knee replacement on 3/5/25. He is very efficient and caring. He explains things to you and takes his time. I’d recommend him to anyone. His assistant Catherine is also very attentive and efficient. She returns your calls very quickly. I wish I would have known him when I had my left knee replaced. He’s a great surgeon.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bell!! He is amazing , not only as a surgeon but a great Doctor who listens and takes his time with you and explains everything in terms you can understand. I had two knee replacements in 2024 with minimal pain. I agree with a previous reviewer, Katherine IS THE BOMB!! Right hip replaced 1/2/25….could not have gone smoother or more successfully, thanks to this wonderful surgeon! Dr. Bell is one awesome Surgeon. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. Catherine is the BOMB as his PA. I had a total hip replacement (left) on March 4th. It was an anterior incision--the best way to do it! Recovery went fast! Therapy was good and six weeks later I'm "dancing in the streets."

I consider Dr. Bell to be the BEST Ortho Surgeon in Jacksonville. I highly recommend him to anyone needing hip surgery.

Dr. Bell performed a total left hip replacement in mid-February this year and I am beyond pleased with the entire experience! Each two week period increased my ability to walk and do chores and after two months I can actually say I feel totally comfortable and ready for a hike! Catherine was very efficient and friendly and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. If you need this procedure I totally recommend Dr. Bell and his team.

Last fall Dr. Bell recommended that I undergo left hip replacement. Considering the discomfort I had been living with for the past several years, it was a recommendation that I was actually hoping to hear. From the initial meeting with him to the surgery to my follow-up appointments, the process has been nothing but flawless. He is not only a skilled surgeon. He exemplifies patient care by his genuinely outstanding “bedside manner.” Dr. Bell listens to his patients, a rare trait in the medical profession. The results from his care have made me once again able to live my life fully and pain-free!

My total knee replacement in 2020 was a disaster . Dr. Bell performed a revision on it march 12. I enjoyed immediate relief with little to no pain or swelling. Dr. Bell did a great job and I wish I knew of him five years ago , I would highly recommend him .Thank you Dr. Bell .

From my very first visit I felt comfortable with Dr. Bell. He listened, showed concern, had great eye contact, and was very personable. We discussed the options that I had with my right knee pain & its lack of stability. 18 months later I had a very successful total knee replacement, easy recovery, & a good looking incision. 😉

Dr. Bell is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon with a very professional and caring approach. I am extremely pleased with the results of my recent total hip replacement. Had Hallux Rigidus stage 4. Dr C recommended fusion. His confidence was amazing. I had 3 different Drs opinions and his bedside manner gave me the courage to do this. I'm 7 months post op and have been pain free. Thx Doc!

I went to visit DR C about 8 weeks ago with tendonitis in my Achilles. My wheels got a lot of miles on them and 6 months of rehab with another Doc did nothing for me. Dr C gave and demonstrated how to do the new exercises and to not overdue them. I am now back in gitty up gear. Way to go big C.

Dr. Carrasquillo was an excellent physician when I went to see his for my fractured foot. He assured me that I would be back in no time.

I saw Dr C for a painful limp in my right ankle. He correctly diagnosed my condition before Xrays were even taken. Surgery was required to remove numerous small broken ankle bone pieces, which he did in July, 2017. After 2 months riding a knee scooter, followed by some PT, I was able to walk normally and without pain for the first time in nearly a year. I would highly recommend Dr Carrasquillo to anyone in need of his expertise. Thank you, Dr. C!!!

Anyone who has suffered an injury of the foot or leg will find it troublesome to locate a better surgeon. Someone else's negligence caused me to rupture my Achilles. As a result, I was very angry. I am almost 50 and I have been running since age 10. Therefore, the reality of not being able to run for an entire year depressed me. I expressed the anger I was feeling during my initial consultation with Dr. C. He allowed me to be angry, then helped me focus on what he would do to repair my tendon

My son shattered and dislocated his ankle during a football game. Dr. C saw him first thing the following morning and did his surgery the next day. My son was walking 6 weeks later! We are beyond pleased with how everything was handled. Obviously it was a very scary process and Dr C was nothing but compassionate with my son. His staff is just as amazing! Some of the most encouraging people we've ever met.

I had an arthroscopic ankle cartilage surgery with Dr. Carrasquillo a year ago. He was able to diagnose my condition very quickly. I have had an excellent recovery and am even able to jog on my ankle now with no pain. He is an amazing surgeon with excellent bedside manner.

Dr. Carasquillo is a specialist in foot and ankle disorders. In his field, I can’t think of a better surgeon. He has excellent bedside manner (which is uncommon for a surgeon.) In addition he has compassion and a conscience.

I had a triple arthrodesis after having a failed foot fusion at the naval hospital and Dr. Carrasquillo went into all my options after doing diagnostic injections to determine what surgery I need and I am 10 days post op and the pain level is almost nothing compared to the naval hospital he has been amazing the staff is amazing they get to know you and are vary friendly I believe he is the best in jax he is worth the wait he work miracles and truly cares about and u understand everything

Dr. C is an amazing surgeon. I would compare his work to that of an artist. I shattered my calcaneous (heel) and was referred to him for treatment. He performed surgery on me and now I can walk. He answered any and all questions I had. Highly recommended!

Dr.Fryberg is the best. Had full knee replacement and I am doing great. Recommend 100%.

Dr Frykberg and his team were absolutely amazing!! Very good bedside manner and sense of humor but very professional in explaining the procedure and what to expect through the healing process. 3 weeks out from knee surgery and I am healing remarkedly well with the pain level going down some each day. Would highly recommend Dr Frykberg for your ortho needs.

A great Dr and facility will give you attention, time to listen and explain, because they do care for their patients, and I did receievd all.

Love Dr. Frykberg. He listens and answers any questions I had about my procedure. He is passionate about what he does. He is professional . I wouldn't haven chosen any other surgeon for my knee replacement.

Dr.Brett Frykberg is an excellent doctor he did my total knee replacement surgery on December 12th. Everything went as planned. He answered any questions I had and solved any problems I was having after surgery. I recommend him to anyone that needs the surgery. I will be using him again for my other knee to be replaced in 3 months.

Just had a total knee replacement surgery on Monday. Dr. Frykberg is exceptional at his job. He's calming, reassuring and all around a good man. He gave me my life back and I'm grateful. He's my angel!

I AM A RETIRED SURGEON therefore, extremely particular when choosing a surgeon. While searching for spine surgeons, what kept my attention on Dr. Kambach reviews was that few patients decided to give him just a 'one-star review.' These patients seem to have serious psychological, mental or emotional issues in which everything they see or encounter is judged as a half glass empty in all aspects of their life. Please, ignore these 'one-star' reviews. Dr. Kambach answered in a detailed manner all my questions regarding my condition, surgery expectation and future recovery. I had an excellent doctor patient interaction, I felt assured. The surgery and post-op was excellent, little discomfort and no complications. A special appreciation to Laura, his personal assistant and Amanda his surgery scheduler for their excellent communication, a five star customer service. Please, ignore these nonsense 'one-star” reviews. I do fully recommend Dr. Kambach to take care of your surgical condition.

Great surgeon, really cares about his patients

Fantastic experience. Had a serious sciatica issue that required surgery. He was very thorough in performing the surgery and the follow up. One of the best doctors I’ve ever had. I highly recommend him.

Saw Dr. Kambach @ Baptist South office. I found Dr. Kambach to be very interested in my back pain. He was very thorough ordering x-rays in his office, then ordering an MRI. I found him to be very personable & genuinely concerned about me.

I had broken my back 2 years prior to my surgery, so I had caused a lot more damage and scar tissue around the break. The staff and doctors talked me through everything I could expect. On the day of the surgery I was not nervous about the surgery. After my surgery I had 2 small scars and you would never knew I had broken my back today!

Dr. Kambach's experience and expertise are exceptional. He knows what he is doing, is very straightforward and although some state he is not very personable remember he is a surgeon not a family doc. Husband had extreme back pain following an injury for months, nothing alleviated the pain and nerve symptoms. Following surgery, he is now almost pain free and that is only from the actual surgery and is regaining his strength and stamina again. As far as a spine surgeon, he is one of the best.

SPINAL FUSION OF L! & L2. Required removing some Stainless from previous surgery on L3-L5 and extending titanium. Walking and mobile with 5 days. No pain

Fixed my pectoral tear almost a decade ago, have not had a single issue with it yet and routinely lift heavy on bench press

Could not have been more lucky to find such a great doctor. If all doctors could be a Dr. Kaplan the world would be a better place. He correctly diagnosed an issue in my shoulder that others have failed at. Always kept me up to speed and did an outstanding job. I will have Dr. Kaplan and the JOI team on speed dial if I ever have an orthopedic issue.

Dr. Kaplan is by far the best orthopedic surgeon. I’m in my fifties and am very active. Love to run, cycle and strength train. Dr Kaplan has repaired my hip labrum and knee meniscus. He’s made it possible for me to continue to chase my goals. In May of this year he repaired my right knee meniscus and a few weeks ago on Oct 8th I ran the Chicago Marathon. I’m proud to say he’s my surgeon! His professionalism, compassion and surgical expertise are top notch. I’ve also recommended him to family and friends and all have experienced the same exceptional care. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Dr. Kaplan performed my rotator cuff surgery and literally had to reattach my tendon back to the bone. Was a complete success and he absolutely has the BEST bedside manner!!! Love Dr. Kaplan and highly recommended him!!!

Dr. Kaplan has the most incredible bedside manner! Performing a knee aspiration (on an incredibly anxious patient) he immediately put me at ease, zero pain, instant relief and incredible bedside manner.Jacksonville is lucky to have him!

He did my patella tendon surgery. Such a calming spirit and made everything go as ease.

Went to Dr. Kitay on a Friday with a ruptured Distal Bicep Tendon and he scheduled my surgery for Tuesday morning. The surgery went great and the recovery went smooth, and now 12 weeks later I can do everything even in the gym lifting light weights!

Can’t say enough about the staff before and during the procedure! Truly exceptional!

Truly grateful to Dr Kitay and his equally impressive team. I suffered a displaced fracture of the radius of my right elbow in early January of 2025, and I am forever grateful that Dr Kitay was my surgeon. At the initial visit he calmly reviewed options and answered every question about the need for surgical intervention. The surgical center was stellar as well and post surgery, once the healing began, I received excellent follow up. Today, three months later, just as he predicted, I am recovered and able to use the elbow almost as if the whole fracture had never occurred. Highly recommend Dr. Kitay.

Dr. Kitay is not only very proficient as a Physician, but is very pleasant to deal with. He has a good sense of humor (not always common in this field) and is informative about your problem and the best solution.

This was an incredible pleasant visit from the moment I was called back. Kelsey, MA was professional, warm, friendly. Dr. Kitay was, also, warm, knowledgeable and in no rush. He answered all my questions no matter how small or redundant.

Today was my first visit with Dr Kitay for a trigger finger. He along with Denise and his team were so kind and compassionate. In this day and time it is so important to me to have a doctor care enough to make me feel comfortable even when the visit requires some degree of pain as mine did. Recently had a knee procedure done by Dr. Picerno. He, and his entire staff, are outstanding in every respect. Everything was explained clearly and patiently. I would go back in a heartbeat (and I was referred to him by another outstanding orthopedist which says a lot as well).

I can’t express how grateful I am to have Dr. Picerno as my ortho. He’s very caring and explains everything. When I had my shoulder surgery he came in right before I went to the OR and prayed with me and made sure I understood everything. I will not go anywhere else now. Highly recommend him!!!

Dr Picerno has been my knee guy for over 2 decades, he has walked beside me throughout the intire history on my left knee that began with a basketball injury. He has always taken the utmost care and least invasive procedures possible. I am now 66 years old and it was finally time for knee replacement. From my first visit, Dr Picerno was so kind and gracious. He quickly and expertly diagnosed my Knee issues. He immediately ordered on-site X-rays and showed me clearly why I was hurting and how to stop that permanently. Dr Picerno is a incredible Knee/ ortho expert. Dr Picerno visited me in the hospital before and after the surgery. Not only is Dr Picerno an incredible surgeon but he took time to pray with me before my surgery. Also, my daughter had serious knee issues and Dr Picerno did miraculous surgeries on both her knees. Our family loves Dr Picerno and are so thankful he treated both my daughter and I. We both enjoy our pain free knees today. And thank you for my incredible bionic NEW knee - yes that’s my NEW knee in the picture.

Six weeks ago I slid out of bed and fractured my femur in my right leg. He did my surgery on Oct 4th and 2 days later I went to a rehab facility to do physical therapy. I am so thankful for Dr. Picerno helping me. He’s an excellent and caring and compassionate person. He listens to your concerns and explains things in detail. Answers any questions you might have. I thank God for him.

Dr. Pacerno not only relieved the swelling in my knee, but is also testing the fluid... which to me is definitely going above and beyond as he is looking for the reason for the swelling, not just "getting rid of the immediate issue", he has referred me to another doctor AS WELL AS is testing what he has found onsite.

Having a son in the Mayo clinic, to me he definitely rates up there with Mayo as a doctor - as he is looking for the root cause, not just correcting an issue at hand then moving to the next patient, Dr. Pacerno really cares!

Dr. Picerno is a very kindhearted doctor who listens to his patients respectfully. He thoroughly explains my condition and treatment options. He has seen me for a knee injury. The surgery was very successful and have Dr. Picerno be my surgeon was a big blessing.

Dr. Picerno replaced both of my hips this year. He is a very caring and dedicated physician. I was in so much pain prior to my surgeries I could not sleep and could barely walk.
I can now sleep at night and am improving my walking and activities daily.
