I did a thorough search before choosing Phillip Bell to do my hip surgery. I was not disappointed. He performed excellently throughout all stages of the surgical consultation and process. At each stage he took all the time necessary to give me his complete assessment of my situation and to answer all my questions. I do ask many questions when I am with physicians. I never felt Phillip Bell rushed me. As far as I can tell the surgery was flawless. I had very little pain compared to stories I have heard from others and I recovered quickly. I have no limitations. In addition to this review of Phillip Bell’s work I want to state that I was very impressed with the nursing care I received at Baptist South. My overall experience in this surgery was very positive.

Wonderful experience with Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute (JOI)). Dr. Phillip Bell was a wonderful surgeon, and the staff, especially Katherine, was always helpful and kind. Calls were returned promptly and questions answered. I went in for a partial knee replacement (I had heard horror stories from friends (??) who had the same surgery elsewhere, so I was very apprehensive). Dr. Bell ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am 6 weeks' post-op and just about at 100%. I am so glad I chose JOI, Dr. Bell and Katherine and would highly recommend to anyone.

Six weeks ago I had a total hip replacement. The experience has been incredible. Not much pain and spent only one night in hospital. I was standing and taking steps a few hours after surgery. My pain now is almost all gone. I’m still in PT and doing great. I would like to thank Dr. Bell, Baptist South, and JOI for doing such a fine job.

He CHANGED my life!!!! I had both hips replaced (6 weeks in between) and am a NEW person! At 51, I had zero quality of life and needed to be wheeled in for surgery. It has been 5 months and I am riding my Peleton bike, walking several miles 4 days a week AND will have my first golf lesson this week! I understand that every situation is unique, but my reality is that I went from taking 11 pills a day to now 3!!!! Dr. Bell's assistant Catherine is beyond knowledgable and never makes you feel that you are a burden (I had lots of questions)! Natasha, his scheduler works so hard to make the schedule work in your favor. Dr. Bell is my HERO! He was beyond professional, listened and gave me results I NEVER thought would be possible with my severe arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis! Sorry to end my review.....but, the golf pro is calling!!!! I am "TEAM Dr. Bell"!

Really a great doctor the whole experience was quick and professional right down to the anual check up. After 57 years walking with a limp and not being able to do sports I can now walk normal My wife can no longer pick me out of a walking crowd, I walk like most other folks, Thank you Dr Bell!
