Dr. Bell did total knee replacement for me on July 5. At my 6 week follow up I am walking well without the aid of a cane , have 130 degrees of bend and almost complete extension. Pain was minimal following surgery and scar is amazingly narrow already. Dr. Bell has a good bedside manner, listens and never makes me feel rushed at appointments. He answers questions clearly, and is never dismissive. This was my first knee replacement. If I need the other one done in the future I will be having it done by Dr.Bell. I don’t give 5 star ratings easily… this one is well deserved.

Total knee replacement is not an easy surgery for sure. Having been down this painful road previously (8 years ago performed by another Surgeon) involving my left knee, I was fearful to seek surgical intervention for my right knee! Dr. Bell and his team were reassuring regarding my treatment from our first encounter through my recent one year check up.
Dr. Bell employs the latest surgical and pain mitigation techniques. The last thing I remember before my Surgery was Dr Bell autographing my right knee (he has a charming, kind bedside manner). The next thing I remember was Dr Bell standing beside my bed the next morning asking if I was ready to go home? I was discharged that afternoon. Going up and down steps three days post-op. Now I’m not saying it’s pain free, but they give you the best chance for a speedy recovery. I was 74 at the time of my surgery, not a kid!
Dr. Bells team lead by Catherine arranged everything for me, medical equipment delivered to my home, PT, RX, insurance verification, Everything! Excellent care from first encounter through successful reconstruction. Answered all questions, addressed my husbands concerns. The total positive package.
Replacement surgery is difficult but when you are in the hands of a competent, caring, Surgeon you have the best chance at a successful total replacement with an outstanding outcome.

Dr. Bell did two knee replacements on my wife and they are coming along wonderfully. He is caring and knowledgeable I would recommend him to anyone need orthopedic surgery.

Highly recommend Dr. Bell I had a knee replace 2 years ago and he did a great job went back 4/22 for hip replacement and another great job, walked out of hospital same day. In my opinion he is batting a thousand.

Dr. Bell did knee replacement surgery on me in May of 2021. I had been to two other orthopaedic surgeons in my search for the right one when a friend suggested Dr. Bell at JOI. I could not have been happier. Dr. Bell made me feel comfortable and trusting on my first visit to him. My surgery and recovery were both better than I expected, and I am walking without pain today. He and his staff of Katherine and others are excellent. If I decide to get the other knee done, I will most certainly go back to Dr. Bell.

Dr. Bell performed a knee replacement for me in January. I found Dr. Bell to be a very kind and compassionate doctor. He listens attentively and answers all questions. Never rushed me in his office. His assistant, Kathryn, was always available by phone to answer any concerns. Can't thank Dr. Bell and his staff enough!!
