Dr. Bell performed a total hip replacement surgery on both my hips this year. One in April and the other in October. I was very nervous to undergo these procedures but his kind and courteous demeanor and ultimate professionalism during all PreOp and PostOp visits gave me the reassurance to move forward. I cannot say enough how Dr. Bell and his whole staff changed my life even at the young age of 80+. I went from a wheelchair to walking. Amazing! Go see Dr. Bell. He is an amazing surgeon and great soul.

If you have any hip discomfort don’t hesitate to get in touch with Dr. Bell. I went from discomfort to pain free in 1 day with the anterior hip replacement procedure. Dr. Bell is very easy to communicate with and will answer all your questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Bell and the staff at JOI for any orthopedic needs. This review is actually posted by my wife, Sandra, who encountered an injury that required total hip replacement. At the request of a family member, Dr. Bell came in to perform my surgery on his day off. ON HIS DAY OFF! Who does that!!! He thoroughly reviewed the procedure with us and drew a picture of what he was going to do. His attention to detail to measure and remeasure my leg to ensure that my gait would not be affected. It's been four months since my surgery and I've recovered for the most part. No issues with discomfort. I'm able to get around without a cane but still being cautious until fully healed. Dr. Bell is very thorough and an expert in the field of Orthopedic surgery. He is highly recommended as well as his staff at the doctor's office.

I’m going to start this review by saying this,,,, Dr. Phillip Bell is absolutely AMAZING!! Prior to being referred to Dr. Bell I dealt with the excruciating pain of bone on bone hip arthritis for more than a year. The thought of a hip replacement terrified me. I even attempted to pray the pain away. My condition worsened and before I knew it I could not move around without the assistance of a Walking cane.On my first visit to JOI Dr. Bell and his team did not waste time and they treated me with the utmost courtesy. His bed side manner couldn’t have been any better as he reviewed my X-ray with me explaining my need for a total hip replacement. I was scheduled quickly as possible by his team for PACE , pre op and surgery. I am now 16 days post surgery and I am pain free and able to walk without assistance after my wonderful home PT team. I feel like I’ve been given a new life. My prayers were finally answered. Thank You so very much Dr. Bell . I can now walk across the stage while receiving my College degree without a limp or a cane. Dr. Phillip Bell is a wonderful doctor and excellent surgeon. He combines expertise with compassion and a willingness to listen, discuss and educate.

Similarly, the staff at JOI in Baptist South Hospital was always very friendly and professional. I never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive for an appointment. They ensured that I had a smooth pre-surgical prep, surgery, and follow-up visits.

Dr. Bell conducted the post-surgical visits himself and did not delegate them to anyone else. This, itself is a rarity in my experience.

Dr. Bell is the Greatest! He is an excellent surgeon with a great "bedside" manor. He explains the procedure in laymen's terms so you can understand what's going to happen in your specific case. Dr Bell is simply the BEST...I had total replacement in August with no pain ..my range is back to 128 and I feel 10 years younger.

Dr. Bell and his staff are the best. I had my right knee replaced by Dr. Bell, the last of 4 joint replacements. I'm recovering faster from this surgery than the other 3. His staff prepared me for this surgery and rehab so I knew exactly what to expect. I'm very satisfied with Dr. Bell and will recommend him to anyone.

I had knee replacement surgery 7/2022. Within 6 weeks, I was walking normally with good range of motion. The pain was minimal. Dr. Bell's staff are efficient and organized and prompt to respond to request and questions. Dr. Bell is an excellent surgeon and very knowable. I highly recommend him.
